Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Welcome to Seoul Pages. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, and protect information about visitors to this website (seoulpages.com). By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

This is a personal blog run by one person — Minsoo Jung, writing from Seoul, South Korea. I keep this policy in plain language because that's how I'd want to read it myself.

Who runs this site

Seoul Pages is owned and operated by Minsoo Jung as an individual, not a registered business. If you need to reach me about anything in this policy, email koreawith.jung2026@gmail.com.

Information I collect

I collect two kinds of information:

1. Information you give me directly

  • Comments: If you leave a comment on a post, the name and email you enter are stored along with your comment. Your email is never displayed publicly.
  • Contact emails: If you email me, your message and email address stay in my inbox.
  • Newsletter signups (future): If I add a newsletter and you subscribe, your email is stored by the newsletter provider.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, Seoul Pages automatically receives some information when you visit:

  • IP address (approximate location, not precise)
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet)
  • Pages you visit and how long you stay
  • The site that referred you here (if any)

This is collected through Blogger (which hosts this site) and the analytics and ad tools described below.

Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device. Seoul Pages uses cookies for:

  • Site function: Remembering things like whether you've dismissed a notice
  • Analytics: Understanding which posts are read and from where
  • Advertising: Showing ads that are more relevant to you (when ads are enabled)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some things (like personalized ads) won't.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Seoul Pages. Google Analytics collects anonymized data about page views, sessions, and approximate location. It does not identify you personally.

To opt out of Google Analytics across all sites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google AdSense and advertising

Seoul Pages may display ads served by Google AdSense and other ad partners. These services may use cookies to show ads based on your past visits to this and other websites.

Third-party advertisers may also use cookies. I do not control these third-party cookies; please review the privacy policies of any advertiser whose ads appear on this site.

Affiliate links

Some posts on Seoul Pages contain affiliate links — links to products on sites like Amazon, YesStyle, Stylevana, and others. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission. This does not cost you anything extra, and it never changes what I recommend.

When a post contains affiliate links, I disclose this in the post itself. You can read the full Disclosure page for more.

How I use your information

I use the information described above to:

  • Run and improve the site
  • Reply to comments and emails
  • Understand what readers find useful
  • Show relevant ads (when enabled)
  • Comply with legal obligations

I do not sell your personal information to anyone. I do not share it with third parties except as needed to run the services described above (hosting, analytics, ads).

Your rights — GDPR (European visitors)

If you're in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Withdraw consent for cookies at any time

To exercise these rights, email koreawith.jung2026@gmail.com. I'll respond within 30 days.

Your rights — CCPA (California visitors)

If you're a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion. To exercise these rights, email me at the address above.

Children's privacy

Seoul Pages is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided information through this site, please email me and I'll delete it.

Data security

I take reasonable steps to protect the information collected through this site. However, no method of transmission or storage on the internet is 100% secure. I cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

This site contains links to other websites. I'm not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. When you click an external link, please read that site's own privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example, when I add new tools or features. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be noted on the homepage.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, email me at koreawith.jung2026@gmail.com.
